Tenants and Foreclosed Homes

Does the lease have a subordination clause?  If not, tenants may be able to remain in the home after foreclosure, if the lease pre-dated the mortgage. If you're an investor with a property about to be foreclosed on, or if you're buying a foreclosed home that has a tenant, this is something that needs to e checked.

If you're a tenant and the house you're renting is being foreclosed, check your lease. If it predates the mortgage and does not have a subordination clause (and that will probably be the title of the paragraph), you may be able to remain in the home.
